The impact of platform models on scheduling techniques
Abstract
In this chapter, we first review a wide representative panel of platform models and topology used in the literature. We explain why such models have been used and why they may be irrelevant to current applications and current platforms. Then we present through a few simple examples the influence of these models on the complexity of the corresponding problems.
