MetaPost macros for drawing Chinese and Japanese abaci
Abstract
This article shows how Chinese (算盘, suànpan) and Japanese abaci ( そろ算 ばん 盤 , soroban) can be drawn with METAPOST, and is illustrated with the details of a simple algorithm.
