STKM on SCA: a Unified Framework with Components, Workflows and Algorthmic Skeletons

Abstract: This paper investigates an implementation of S TKM, a Spatio-Temporal sKeleton Model. S TKM expands the Grid Component Model (G CM) with an innovative programmable approach that allows programmers to compose an application by combining component, workflow and skeleton concepts. The paper deals with a projection of the S TKM model on top of S CA and it evaluates its implementation using Tuscany Java S CA. Experimental results show the need and the benefits of the high level of abstraction offered by S TKM.
