Concerning the Effect of the Indexing on the Recognition

Abstract: We present a principle by modeling objects with hierarchical indexing and exploiting it for recognition tasks. Briefly, we describe the index which has the caracteristic of being built incrementally by learning the different 3D aspects of the objects to be modelled. The recognition strategy is a data-driven one. We show, with examples, the efficiency of this recognition method.
