Asymptotic approach to the performance evaluation with application to some model of real-time communication device

Abstract: For communication switch a mathematical model based on a multi-dimensional Markov stochastic process is proposed. We discuss both continuous and discrete time variants of the proposed queueing model. We put forward the problem of asymptotic analysis of steady-state distribution to evaluate performance of the system. This approach is deeply related with the recent results on large deviations in Markovian systems. We provide a comprehensive study of symmetrical communication switch. In the last section for the case of Binomial model we give a comparison between two numerical experiments: the first one is based on exact formulae and the second on our asymptotic approach.
