Goals

The prime aim of this workshop is to present latest results and conclusions obtained from the collaborative IRAMUS project, as well as to expose upcoming actions and furnish future collaborative initiatives.

We also aim at opening this meeting to other French and international actors, in order to make the Research communities working on network/MAC protocols and physical layer/radiocommunications collaborate. This would encourage the joint transversal actions and projects in a rapidly growing research field of cross-layer design in wireless ad hoc and sensor networks. This project aimed for the following:

• Propose realistic physical layer modeling for wireless multi-hop data and sensor network.
• Redefine the radio modem which is appropriate for multi-hop networks related problems and design constraints.
