Wave Finite Element method for electromechanical periodic waveguides

Abstract : A novel Finite Element formulation is proposed for cases involving the coupling of mechanical and electrical waveguides. This allows using the Transfer Matrix formalism proposed in the Wave Finite Element method. Electrical variables are added to the state vectors in order to compute propagation constants for electromechanical waves. Frequency response fonc-tions of coupled structures can also be obtained for various mechanical and electrical boundary conditions.
