Abstract : The SIGGRAPH 2012 will be again an opportunity for many researchers to present their innovative work in Computer Grahics. Today, we look into one of them, entitled "Surface Flows for Image-Based Shading Design". It introduces an alternative method to 3D rendering based on 2D deformations. The authors of the publication have answered our questions and discussed the principle of this method, its advantages and limitations, but also to its applications, since implementations in the form of plugins Photoshop / After Effects / Nuke are being prepared or available.
