Effective diffusion tensor computed by homogenization

Abstract : The convergence of the long-time apparent diffusion tensor under realistic DMR scanning conditions to the effective diffusion tensor obtained by homogenization theory was considered for a two-compartment model in both isotropic and anisotropic diffusion and general shapes. This gives a computationally efficient approach to get the homogenized diffusion tensor.
