Abstract : Internet is the integration platform for multiple services, previously isolated. Both fixed and mobile telephony are good example of this convergence towards IP. In addition, classical web applications are evolving to become more dynamic and interactive towards their users. This convergence highly impacts the attack surface of the considered services. Through IP, an operator potentially exposes a big part of his signaling traffic to third parties, including potential attackers. Moreover, the end-devices (phones, smart phones) get more and more exposed towards direct attacks. The project aims at studying both known and unknown vulnerabilities in the scope of VoIP and Web 2.0. It also proposes test solutions for the deployed services as well as for the protocols used to access these services. Any operator, like the one being partner in this project can, based on the outcome of the project, improve the testing of equipment and thus increase the robustness of both deployed equipment and operated services. The broader web development community also benefits the wider web development community.
