A Multifunctional Device for Multi-channel EMI and Guided Wave Propagation Measurements with PWAS

Abstract : This paper presents a multifunctional device enabling multichannel-measurements on piezoelectric elements and supports impedance and wave propagation measurements as well as the recording of additional information about environmental conditions within one experimental setup. This way of data acquisition enables the possibility of producing automated SHM systems according to the specific needs of the monitored structure including sensor assessment. A description of the hardware and software used in the process of data collection is presented and its applicability is demonstrated in some exemplary applications.
