Abstract : We consider degenerate second order mean field games systems with a local coupling. The starting point is the idea that mean field games systems can be understood as an optimality condition for optimal control of PDEs. Developing this strategy for the degenerate second order case, we discuss the existence and uniqueness of a weak solution as well as its stability (vanishing viscosity limit). Speaker: Daniela TONON
