Abstract : In the perspective of actual production, the paper presents the
advances in the application of image processing fruit grading from
several aspects, such as processing precision and processing speed of
image processing technology. Furthermore, the different algorithms about
detecting size, shape, color and defects are combined effectively to
reduce the complexity of each algorithm and achieve a balance between
the processing precision and processing speed are keys to automatic
apple grading.
