An Overview of Semantically-Based TCM Telemedicine Systems

Abstract : Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is gaining its popularity in recent years. The limited exchange of medical knowledge due to geographical constraints etc. will be disadvantageous to patients. It is crucial to capture the knowledge and experience in a computer-based representation. With the application of semantic network and ontology, knowledge and experience will then be kept and stored in a semantic manner, which facilitates effective and efficient knowledge exchange and sharing.
