Methods for Location Privacy: A comparative overview

Abstract : The growing popularity of location-based services, allowing to collect huge amounts of information regarding users' location, has started raising serious privacy concerns. In this report we analyze the various kind of privacy breaches that may arise in connection with the use of location-based services, and we survey and compare the metrics and the mechanisms that have been proposed in the literature.
