Multi-agent Product Life Cycle Environment. Interoperability Issues

Abstract : The main goal of this paper is to describe the integrated approach to product lifecycle management in the context of enterprise information system landscape. Product lifecycle management is a part of the common information area in the enterprise. In this work the analysis of enterprise interoperability problems was presented. To classify such problems and solution approaches we use a framework for enterprise interoperability, described by D. Chen at [1].The paper suggests reference architecture for product lifecycle management systems based on multi-agent concept. It promotes understanding of the interrelationships of different lifecycle stages for acquiring and manipulating concurrent engineering knowledge.
