Operation Area Measurement Based on Trajectories of Agricultural Machinery

Abstract : The operation area of agricultural machinery is the basis of not only agricultural machinery service market but also the implementation of agricultural subsidies. This paper studied the operation area measurement of agricultural machinery from two aspects, which were trajectory data screening and area algorithm improvement. According to the actual situation of agricultural machinery, the trajectory points are selected to generate accurate trajectories of agricultural machinery. Then the improved buffer algorithm based on curve topology is applied to the calculation of the area based on the trajectory of agricultural machinery. Test results show the measurement error is less than 1.3%, which can meet the measurement accuracy of operation area of agricultural machinery.
