Résumé

Data is the most important strategic resource in organization and the management of these data is considered critical to organization success (Hendriks 1999). In some domains where the data resources are huge, complex and heterogeneous, this management task therefore is more challenged. Recently, PLM solutions have emerged as an effective solution to handle this data resources type. Indeed, PLM is made of several Information and Communication (ICT) tools, platforms and systems. Interoperability issues and lack of efficient communication between stakeholders, ICT tools and systems involved in PLM cause data integrity problems and limit the access to and sharing of product information and knowledge distributed in various and heterogeneous systems, for knowledge sharing and reuse purposes. To overcome current inconvenience, more and more research works have investigated and studied the Semantic Web (SW) concepts and techniques, as well as their applications to improve the capabilities of PLM solutions to efficiently manage lifecycle data. Ontology are a key component of SW in which content and the relationships between contents can be expressed not only in natural language but also in a format that can be understandable by the non-technician users and therefore, permitting them to query, share and integrate data more easily. Our purpose in this paper is to present a user-proper and ontology-based query interface that facilitates users in data interrogation from PLM database. The next sections of the paper are organized as follows: In sections 2, we present some related work in PLM and knowledge sharing techniques. Next, in section 3, we are going to talk about the methodology of proposed system, an application in BioImaging domain will be presented the in section 4 and the section 5 is reserved for the conclusion.
