Founding IFIP as an International Computing Organization

Abstract : IFIP was founded with the help of UNESCO and it captured some of the scientific idealism that marked the early days of UNESCO. Identifying the presence of this idealism helps explosion why the organization could be successful at some kinds of activities and challenged by others.
