Etat de l'art sur l'alignement des ontologies

Abstract : The web provides access to different types of data and to services in the form of various documents through the internet. However, the interface for accessing these documents is written in a language that is intended for humans and increasingly for machines. The semantic web is an extension of the web that improves cooperation between humans and computers. However, within the framework of this new representation of knowledge appear ontologies which allow the conceptualization of the knowledge of a domain. This representation is not always uniform for a given domain. Ontologies are new forms of organization and intelligent control of information. They present the prior knowledge required for a systematic processing of information for purposes of navigation, exploitation, etc. However, ontologies are continuously confronted with problems of syntactic, terminological, conceptual and semiotic or pragmatic heterogeneity. Thus, alignment is needed as a solution, in order to solve this problem of heterogeneity for a better use of the data. In this paper we present the state of the art alignment of ontologies and improvement proposals are proposed.
