A survey of the main fundamental European trigonometric tables printed in the 15th and 16th centuries
Abstract : This document is a survey of the main European fundamental trigonometric tables printed in the 15th and 16th centuries. After a review of the work done before the 15th century in Greece, India and the Arab world, the starting points in Europe are examined. The seminal work of Regiomontanus is carefully studied and the lineage of all later works is established.
