Análise estatística implicativa e análise de variância: estudo estatístico comparativo sobre o desempenho escolar em sala de aula multicultural

Abstract : This work aims to investigate the influences of students’ culture on school performance under a mixed quantitative analytical methodology, consisting of analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Statistical Implicative Analysis (SIA). The study was carried out through the statistical analysis of data from the school record of the grades of urban, rural, indigenous and quilombola students from High School Integrated to the Agricultural Technician from 2011 to 2018 at the Federal Institute of Sertão Pernambucano in the city of Salgueiro-PE, Brazil. The results revealed that there is an influence of culture on the students’ academic performance, where the quilombolas make up the profile linked with the concept D income and consequently with school dropout. As for ANOVA and SIA, they are instruments that can complement each other, enriching data analysis, precisely because they are different. We consider that the use of SIA in research in the social area, specifically in education, can favor studies by enabling the understanding of the research object as a behavioral phenomenon, not static, which is subject to changes according to the influences of the various variables that make up the complex reality.
