Open Science Free Software Award

Included in the second National Plan for Open Science announced by the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation on July 6, 2021 , the Open Science Prize for Open Source Research aims to
highlight the projects and teams that are working to develop and disseminate open source software, and which contribute to the construction of a common good.

The objective is to recognize the important contribution that the production of free software and to draw the attention of the scientific community on exceptional or very promising achievements, allowing to give visibility  to productions that can serve as a model for the next generations of the next generations of researchers and engineers.
The prize has several categories that distinguish projects according to their scientific and technical dimensions, their capacity to train and animate their community and the quality of their documentation.
