French Open Science Monitor

According to the January 2021 edition of the Open Science Monitor, 62% of the 166,000 French scientific publications published in 2020 were in open access in December 2021 which represented a 10-point increase in one year.
The level of open access varies significantly from one discipline to another.


Thus, 73% of French scientific publications in mathematics and 58% in computer and information sciences published in 2020 were open access the following year, in 2021 (observation year).
