A Note on the TCP Fluid Model

Abstract : In this paper, we revisit the fluid TCP model and propose an explicit solution of the non-linear differential equation. We show that as soon as the queue never empties, we have a very non-intuitive rate dynamic and that in partcular the ratio w(t)/rtt(t) is a constant. We test the analytical solution by comparison with NS2 simulation results.
