Fast and Robust Recognition of Orbit and Sinus Drawings Using Histograms of Forces

Abstract : We show in this paper that the notion of the histogram of forces can also be useful in pattern recognition. The aim of this study is to classify drawings of orbits and sinuses. The use of histograms of force instead of geometrical criteria (like compactness or degree of ellipticity) performs a more accurate classification. Furthermore, the proposed approach has a low computing time.
