Abstract : Virtual enterprise organization regroups partners distributed in space, time and organization, in order to achieve a common goal. Thus, their business process realization needs the coordination of distributed partners' interactions. This paper presents the synchronization point concept, which provides support for the cooperative process coordination. It provides partners pertinent information about their work progress while maintaining the privacy of information. Moreover, it supports both the long-time transactions and the dynamic process definition as requested for cooperative process management. Finally, its data repository and action manager helps human interactions in cross-organizational applications.
