On a joint Research Publications and Authors Ranking

Résumé : The paper introduces a new analysis technique for evaluating research activities which is based on a random walk on the bipartite graph of papers and authors. This technique is an extension of the PageRank family algorithm to this setting. It leads to a new ranking algorithm where the ranking of a paper/author depends on that of the papers/authors citing it/him or her. We compare the results against existing ranking methods through the analysis of simple scenarios.
