Stream multi-index assessment and associated uncertainties : application to macroinvertebrate and macrophytes
Abstract
The Water Framework Directive imposed chemical and biological assessments in European streams. Although, in chemistry, studies about uncertainties exist for a long time, this kind of studies are recent and not very numerous in hydrobiology. The aim of this study is to review studies about uncertainties on biological indexes based on macrobenthos and macrophytes.
