Constructions cartographiques pour la caractérisation de l'aléa volcanologique du Piton de la Fournaise : Cartographie de séries de données chrono-spatiales

Abstract : To characterize volcanic hazard on the Piton de la Fournaise volcano, it is essential to have a deep knowledge of past eruptions events: faults, cinder cones, lava flows, seisms... The first step is to map these past events. However, the temporal aspect of these data raises mapping issues. This article deals with the choice of suited cartographic symbology to visualize chrono-spatial data, which are GIS data chronogically ordered.
