Loss of Rotor Isotropy As a Blade Damage Indicator for Wind Turbine Structure Health Monitoring Systems

Abstract : Modal-based damage features utilizing asymmetry of the rotor whirling mode shapes arising from rotor anisotropy are examined by Floquet analysis, and output-only modal analysis is applied to simulated vibrations of a rotating rotor.
