Contributions of the Program Inovar-Auto to the Automotive Manufacturers in Brazil

Abstract : The Brazilian government intents to stimulate and modernize the national automotive industry. The Inovar-Auto program propose to improve the international competitiveness of automobile auto parts industry and to reduce the importations. This paper aims to verify the influence of the Inovar-Auto program in competitiveness of Brazilian automotive industry. To this end, we carried out a search regarding the investments to the following years of the program, the participation of international enterprises as stakeholders of the national industry and its next goals. The results showed that the major investments came from international companies.
