Abstract : This papers aims at presenting a review of some metamodels used in optimization. We are interested in particular in the Radial Basis Functions and Kriging metamodels. The theory of these techniques is presented and their implementation is discussed. We present also the differentiation of these metamodels. Furthermore, a slight comparison between Radial Basis Functions and Kriging metamodels is given in ordrer to show their similarities and differences.
