As a central part of the DIAL dialogue system developed in Nancy, we present the actual design of its lexical component. We describe in particular a prediction mechanisms which, on the basis of previous linguistic knowledge, allows one to favor the recognition of words in specific semantic fields. The Dempster-Shafer rule is being implemented to this purpose.
