Abstract : The transfer matrix method allows to compute the input impedance of a pipe. This work proposes a unified formulation of the coefficients of the transfer matrices for cones and cylinders. This is done for both models with and without viscothermal losses. The exactlysolved equation with the transfer matrix method in the case of the cone with viscothermal losses is exhibited.
